At Stairlift Solutions NI, we are an award-winning local, family business and have been selling, installing and servicing stairlifts for over 20 years covering the whole of Northern Ireland and the bordering counties of the Republic of Ireland. Whether you have a straight staircase or one with a turn, we provide a full range of solutions and with new, reconditioned or rental available, we can even have it installed the very next day.

We have also added a broad range of mobility products to what we can offer including scooters, riser recliner chairs, rollators, wheelchairs and much more. We have recently moved our HQ from Bangor to Newtownards and now display all our products in Northern Ireland’s biggest stairlift and mobility showroom!

The company continues to grow in strength each year which allows us to maintain the highest standard of service for all our customers – both new and old alike. Full Range of Leading Brands

Whether you have a straight staircase, multiple staircases or one with a turn, we have a stairlift to suit your needs. Below you can read more about our various models and options available.

Our best selling straight stairlift is the Brooks 130 Slimline Stairlift, with the Acorn Stairlift as an alternative. These have a slimline design, are very easy to use and are extremely reliable.

Our HomeGlide Stairlifts are an alternative for straight staircases. The HomeGlide is very competitively priced, while the HomeGlide Extra comes with many additional features all as standard.

The Bespoke Synergy is our other straight option with a slim, compact design, a choice of seat colours and many other unique features.

If there is a turn in the stairs or if there is more than one flight, then a curved stairlift may be required. For these, our best selling model is the single rail Flow X Curved Stairlift which is made and designed by ThyssenKrupp. It has world leading technology and with a stylish, modern design, it can be customised to suit any decor, plus it comes with a 5 year warranty and 5 x free services as standard.

An alternative curved model that we have added to our range is the dual rail Bespoke Infinity Stairlift which is competitively priced and very easy to use.

Our other curved option is the Brooks 180 Curved Stairlift which can be installed very quickly due to it’s unique modular rail system.

We sell both reconditioned straight stairlifts and reconditioned curved stairlifts which can vary in price depending on age, condition, length of warranty etc.

If a stairlift is only needed for short term use, then we can provide the rental of straight stairlifts to customers for periods of 6 or 12 months, depending on what is needed, plus we can also provide the rental of curved stairlifts too.

We even have outdoor stairlifts available for those who have steps into their house from outside or from a garage, which are just as good as our indoor models but fully weather proofed to protect against our infamous weather all year round.

As our prices start from as little as £950 installed, we are as competitive, if not more so, than any other company and as we keep a stock of straight stairlifts here in Northern Ireland we can even provide a next day installation if needed.

Michael Wallace – Managing Director

After his father Ken Wallace set up the company in 2000, Michael joined soon after that and has been integral ever since, helping the company grow to where it is today. Michael fully took over after Ken retired in 2016 with new premises, new products, new staff – a new chapter.

Sadly, Ken passed away later that year, but Michael has carried on with the same ethos instilled by his father of doing things the right way and looking after all our customers in a helpful and friendly manner. Under Michael’s leadership, Stairlift Solutions has excelled and continues to grow in many areas, plus the company has also been recognised with multiple award wins in recent years.

James Dowling – General Manager

Although James joined us full time in 2015, he had been working for us on a part time basis for many years before that. His work ethic, attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond to help, epitomises everything we strive for here at Stairlift Solutions. Right from the start, he’s always been a big hit with our customers, as dozens of our testimonials prove from people singing his praises!

It didn’t take long for James to earn his promotion, first to Sales & Service Manager and then to General Manager – a role in which he is now thriving in. He also stepped up during the Covid pandemic and was pivotal in steering the company through a difficult period, proving yet again to be an indispensable member of our team.

Jen Evans – Operations Manager

Jen joined us in 2018 and it instantly became clear that she was the perfect fit for the company. Due to circumstances, Jen had to quickly adapt at the deep end but proved that she could manage and even thrive under pressure and has since excelled in the role.

Having earned a full-time promotion to Sales Manager and then more recently to Operations Manager, Jen’s importance has grown alongside the company and whether it’s on the phone or in the showroom, her positivity always shines through and is an ever-popular member of our team.

Kim Shannon – Office Manager

Kim joined us in 2022 and since day one, she has added a high level of professionalism and attention to detail to our busy office. Conscientious and very hard working, Kim quickly adapted to many different roles at a fast pace, ensuring our office is now running better than ever before.

Kim’s thorough approach means our customers are always well looked after, whether it’s on the phone or in the showroom and she has seamlessly become a very important and popular member of our team.

Sam Foster – Sales & Service Engineer

Since joining us in 2019, Sam quickly adapted to his role which was mainly installing stairlifts. A fast learner, he soon picked up the skills needed to grow into other areas, like for breakdowns and also sales which he is now relishing. Sam has been a great addition to our team and his commitment to work right throughout the Covid pandemic showed real character and his dedication to the company.

Kenny McGreevy – Sales & Service Engineer

Kenny joined the team in 2020 and seamlessly fitted right in. It’s like he’s been with us for many years before that as nothing is too much trouble for him! Kenny impressed right from the start in his various roles and he’s proved to be reliable, knowledgeable and as a highly skilled engineer, he always takes a great pride in the quality of his work whatever it is.

Ted Lynch – Sales & Service Engineer

Having worked for us on a part time basis since 2020, we were delighted to welcome Ted to join us full time when the role became available a couple of years later. Based in L’Derry, Ted is the perfect fit to help cover our ever-growing customer base up in the North West and beyond. A big hit with our customers, Ted is always happy to go above and beyond with his friendly, helpful and hardworking attitude.

Chris Tolmie – Sales & Service Engineer

Chris joined our ever-expanding team in 2022 and has really hit the ground running ever since. He has shown a real eagerness to pick things up as quickly as possible and learn as much as he can. He has since proved to be a skilled engineer and is able to turn his hand to any job, big or small and has been a great addition to our team.

Anne McCoy – Office & Sales Admin

When Anne joined us in 2021, she quickly had to adapt to the role and beyond – and she did so with flying colours. Not only is Anne a quick learner but her friendly, hardworking approach meant she fit right in and she has since proved to be a very reliable member of our team across all aspects of the role.

Gail Black – Office & Sales Admin

When we expanded into much bigger premises in 2023, we needed more staff for the office and showroom and Gail was the perfect fit. Right from the start, Gail has been eager to pick up all aspects of the role and is always happy to go above and beyond if and when needed with her professional, hard-working and friendly manner.

Danni McAllister – Office & Sales Admin

Danni also joined us when we expanded in 2023 and was instantly a great addition to our ever-growing team. Danni’s positive and thoughtful attitude ensures she is just as popular with customers too and her dedicated approach with customers means she always has a smile, whether it’s over the phone or in the showroom.

Kale Bell – Warehouse & Admin Associate

We were looking for an apprentice to join us in 2021 and Kale was keen to come on board and prove himself. Fast forward to 2023 and we were very pleased to move Kale into a full-time permanent role due to his high level of performance. Whether it’s in the warehouse, the office and showroom, or out on calls, Kale always strives to help, learn and grow as much as he possibly can.

Diane Phillips – Accounts Administrator

Diane has been looking after our day-to-day accounts since she joined us back in 2016. During this period, she has adapted to the various challenges as the company continues to grow year on year. Invariably on hand and eager to help, Diane always brings a lively energy to our team all year round.
